Completely inaccurate and wouldn't stay on the 46 ft option

Bought one, followed instructions precisely to change the default 60' to 46' option, could not get it to change. Since it was stuck, we just tried it out on that option and moved out throwing distance to 60'. The majority of the results said 22. Occasionally it would say 46. The ball was being thrown by the same person and at nearly the same velocity, and he throws around 75mph via radar. Took it back to the store and exchanged. This new one would switch to the 46' option, but again it was stuck on a very low mph. Now that I've had 2 that don't work as advertised, I would say these are garbage. The only thing they are measuring is how much time it takes to travel the 60' or 46' and then calculating to mph, but how does it really know when it leaves the pitchers
hand. Great idea. Bad end result.... If the manufacturer has one that actually works and sends it to me to try, I have no problem changing my review, but im not going back to the store to exchange for another.

Absolutely great idea

It’s not often I have to do a sub par review. Honestly the idea behind this product is great, but it did not measure up. My family and I tried it hundreds of times and it just wouldn’t work correctly. We tried it out all different speeds and it would not read the right speed. We followed the directions , and for whatever reason it would say random numbers. I think with a little more work behind the speed measurements it would be the ideal product unless we received a faulty ball.

Pretty accurate radar ball

As a coach and father of 2 pitchers, I was excited to test the SKLZ Bullet ball. I often use a radar gun on the kids and wanted to see how accurate this ball would be. I was pleased to say, it is pretty close; within 5 mph, I would say. According to the boys, it handles the same as a standard baseball, without too much added weight or bulk. I compared the speed reading on my radar gun and the ball and they both read pretty close each time. This may not be perfect but it an give coaches and players a fairly good reading on how fast they are throwing. I would recommend this radar gun to other coaches.

Amazing!

The kids absolutely LOVED this! It’s so nice to tell the speed they are throwing and it is so beneficial for our team! I really think it works great and I do not see any improvements needed to it! I highly recommend for any team or even child!

Speed measuring baseball

The Sklz Bullet Ball id a little bit complicated to use and set up. The ball is supposed to be good for measuring speed however it has to be specific to two differences distances, 46' or 60' 6". You had to tap the ball in order to turn it on and change it but that brought complications as it wouldn't change distances or it would keep reverting to the opposite of what I chose when throwing. I can only assume the speed at which I threw the ball is accurate because no wildly high or low numbers were revealed. The ball is battery powered and easy to change. The ball is official size and weight so even disregarding the speed option, its a fun toy to throw around and practice pitching.
